Between double infinities...almost nothing

Early start today for a swimming-round-excercise. Very refreshing after yesterday’s long train-journey. Surely there’s a difference cycling to the swimming-pool on a rainy dark morning compared with my early climbing and walking adventures in the snowy forest some days ago. But we are here now and after breakfast and espresso we went to the beach on bike. Sandwich for the hungry in the backpack. Nothing to distract us from our renewed encounter with the sea.

Low tide had set in already hours ago, so at first sight from the dunes: there the windy sands of the Zandmotor-peninsula...Oh, and the vast blue of the rough sea from south to north and over the horizon this sky, clouds coming over from the south..few people, some of them with dogs...lets stay here, but brrr the cold southwind is blowing fiercly.

So we went on futher to the south against the strong winds. And from there our long walk along the rather quiet, because undeep laguna-water began. Admirer shooting the birds - not only gulls but also a rare Godwit and the Oyster Catchers, chased by aggressive gulls. We met a birdwatcher who uploads his daily observation-pictures - eg. on the Blackheaded Gull - on a site where you can find any actual oberservation on animals(www.waarneming.nl). How blind I still am even for the most different kinds of seagulls…

But it is really ok to feel like a beginner, when taking pictures brings you in a new and adventurous world of experience: trying to make visible the invisible - or to visualize anew the everyday routine way of bypassing the world with different “fresh eyes”. You all are finding your own en very special way in this creative process. So, here you see my simple experience of finding my vision back, down at a deserted maritime laguna: How small is our coastal line vanishing between the double infinities of sky and seawater...almost nothing.
