Finishing Touches

Only a week and a half until we move into the new Science block at school.

I didn't have time to go on site today to see what was left to finish off inside, but I took a quick look through the site barriers this evening before coming home. This is the back of the building, where you can see that the paths around the building have the hard core laid, and are ready for the top layer to be added. I just hope that our wet and windy weather doesn't cause any delays as we can't really move in if the footpath access is not complete.

All the science teachers are desperately getting through as many practicals and demonstrations as they can in the last couple of days before we start packing up. As a result we have completely run out of test tubes, boiling tubes, beakers and conical flasks of all sizes, measuring cylinders of most sizes, and much more besides. Everything will need to be collected in by the end of the week and no equipment will be allowed out next week as we will be loading it all into crates ready for the contractors to transport it to the new building at the beginning of the half term week.

Exciting (and busy) times!
