Amongst the leaves

A surprising finding in one of the new garden beds was the sudden eruption of fungi. Presumably the spores were in the additional soil that had been put in after the landscaping. They are unfamiliar to me. They are growing much better than are the tomatoes we planted.

A long day. Down to Auckland for a full day, followed by driving back in the peak traffic and rain. Tired and without a photo, as I didn't have a morning run, and no opportunities subsequently until I got back.

Additional Comment: S asked me to clarify that the tomatoes that are not growing well are only the plant in that bed which is totally in the shade of the big pohutukawa tree. The other tomatoes are so good, I nearly blipped a photo of some of them.
