Frozen in time

OH MY! I have never seen anything like it before. Icicles hanging off of everything. I went out first thing this morning to see if the freezing rain happened. Yep, it sure did! Everything had an interesting shine to it. The trees have been starting to release the new buds and they got captured in the icy rain. The tree branches are hanging low with the extra weight of the ice. Our cars have a coating of ice all over them! The snow is encased inside a layer of ice and the ice is running down the sides of the cars.

Early this morning, we heard a tree near by popping and cracking. The roads are a mess. The piles of snow left from the last couple of days is now in deep ridges that are difficult to navigate. We braved going to the store to return some movies, buy some lean hamburger that was on sale and return home without crashing into anything.
