MICHIGAN'S CAPITOL BUILDING

This is the Michigan state capitol building located in Lansing. It was built in 1872–78 of the neoclassical (specifically Italianate) style and is a National Historic Landmark. Michigan became the 26th state of the Union on January 26, 1837. The first capitol was in Detroit, but was changed to Lansing in 1848. (A grey building, on a grey day, with a grey sky, and it’s snowing again. On a sunny spring day it will look much better.)

For a really fun blip series, check out the ‘Alternative Olympic Games’. (Also, this other journal is the blipper who started the idea.) Their creativity is amazing! You could join in if you’d like.
