Steaming

<smug>There's no better feeling than when the alarm goes off on a cold, dark, wet Monday morning and you wake up just long enough to switch it off again, then dive straight back under the duvet to go straight back to sleep with a huge no-work-today grin on your face.

It might've been tempered with the clearing up of all yesterday's dishes, the emptying of the bins, the recycling, the prepping for tonight's dinner and various other bits and pieces, but... it wasn't work.</smug>

Ok, got that out of my system, apologies to those that did have the daily drudge to face. I won't mention it again. Much.

As Samantha's still off work also (not so much fun as necessity though) and with a touch of cabin fever kicking in she decided we could head out for a run in the car. Ended up along the Firth of Forth a bit in the historic and quaint village of Culross. Normally it's jam packed with touristy types, but it wasn't today and after a wander and some photos we had a nice cup of tea (and a scone) in one of the gallery-cum-cafes scattered around the narrow nooks and crannies. Looked at some of the gallery stuff, went out for another wander, took some more photos and read some of the interpretation boards around the place. Apparently Oystercatchers aren't particularly big on Oysters.

Felt likes a Sunday and felt like we were playing some kind of retirement sim.

Might head off and get gently steaming myself now. I'm off work you see; did I not mention that?

Another old legacy lens used to take this shot today, this time an old 1975 Vivitar 35-105mm f3.5 Canon fit zoom. Heavy as a brick and wasn't expecting much but, again, was pleasantly surprised by the images it took. Loads of CA and soft on the outside, but nothing that couldn't be fixed in Lightroom.
