A time for everything

Chapel in the country

A beautiful Indian summer weekend here in southern Ohio. In the morning Roger was out raking leaves, while I did some tidying and sorting inside, then after an early lunch we took our tandem and went cycling (20 miles) on the Little Miami bike trail. The trail passes through the little village of Oregonia where this chapel is located. I blipped it from a different angle back in the summer. This evening we went out to see the High school production of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, which was really well done. It feels odd being back there though, now we don't have children in school anymore! Then we came back home and watched the football game between UC (University of Cincinnati) and University of Connecticut, which I had recorded. It came down to a nail-biting finish, but UC just hung on to the victory, 47-45! Go Bearcats!

As I look at this date last year, Painter's palette, I can see that the bare trees have come earlier this year - we lost the leaves on our lovely red bush at least ten days ago, and most of the other trees in the pictures are now bare too.
