GOOD SPORTMANSHIP AWARDED

Here we have Reginald of Team Squirrel about to receive his gold medal for competing in the ‘Singles Luge Event’. Today’s luge was more exciting than ever in the history of the Olympics. Reggie lost his sled when it slipped out from under him. Just about any other athlete would have been undone by such a tragedy, but not Reggie. He jumped up and, without wasting a second, completed the icy luge track on foot. The crowd loved it, and even his competitors cheered him on. To be honest, Reggie did not finish with the best time, but it was the best display of sportsmanship – and that’s what the Olympics are all about – so the judges awarded the top prize to him.

Our beautiful Goldfinch and Wren of Team Aviary are relaxing in the break-room while they review the elements in their ‘Mixed-Doubles Synchronized Soaring’ program. They’re sure to stun everyone with their extraordinary display of swirling, swooping and just plain flying high! The fact that they work so beautifully together is quite amazing.

(Since I almost never see a wren, let alone get a photo of one, I decided that was reason enough to include the wren in this write-up.)
