with the manual settings this morning.

No Mass this morning. My day so far: roused at at about 03:00hrs then lay in bed half dreaming and finally got up thinking it was ages since I was awoken by Kathy going to the bathroom. Too much information? It happens. For some reason I don't notice when the clock chimes the quarters, so used to it after so many years, but I do notice when I turn the chimes off when we have company staying. I always manage to hear the hour strike.

So, I've been up since about 03:30hrs. Read another long sentence in Seiobo There Below which amounts to a short chapter of sub-clause after sub-clause and interjections. But one has to read the whole section to grasp the idea. Takes a bit of getting used to.

Watched BBC World Service News and an old episode episode of New Tricks. Played the dulcimer for a bit and can now play the twiddly descending scale of Harvest Home at last after playing it straight for a long time.
