A Wooly Transformation

I am glad I'm not a sheep
Sheltering from the rain
Behind a hedge
In a field of wet grass.
My fleece sodden with rain
Weighing more by the minute.

This was once that wool
Sodden and dirty
Now transformed into a cardigan
For Glasgow daughter.

She chose black for reasons
I know not.
What I do know is that black
Is depressing and difficult to knit.
Mistakes are hard to spot
Only I know where they hide.

The sheep will be happier now
The rain has stopped
The sun is trying to appear.
