.... for chasing after bubbles.

Katie slept in this morning. I had to wake her coming up to 745 to get us out in time for ballet. She insisted she needed a bath so we got a wiggle on and both got sorted & dressed. She ate two weetabix and we headed off on the bike to the station. Except that it was howling and throwing it down, so we turned round and came back.

Its just gone 1pm at the moment. She's eaten 3 bowls of cereal, 2 bowls of fruit, a pack of mini cheddars, a bowl of fresh popcorn and a flapjack. And wants to know what is for lunch.

We have done some sewing together this morning - we made her a ballerina cushion for her bedroom, which she helped to stuff. She then decided Monkey needed a cushion too so we made a little one from a fabric sample for him.

She asked to play with some bubbles that we had left from her birthday party, so she wrapped up and went outside. Her look of absolute joy, complete childhood pleasure, made me melt rather.

Tracy & baby Keira are coming round soon, with some friends of theirs who want photos. Katie is looking forward to snuggles with Keira. And then when they've gone, Granny and Grandad are coming for tea and to look after Katie for the evening! She is extremely pleased about all these visitors.
