Joshua's baptism

Had a lovely day today at Joshua's baptism. Such a happy little chappy, he bounced and smiled his way through the service. D and L were on good form as well, behaving pretty much impecably in church (books, crayons, paper and chocolate did the trick). D is being very sweet with L at the moment. When we arrived at the party, there was a children's CD playing a song about best friends. They danced around in circles, giggling and holding hands while D told her she was his best friend. Proper heart melty stuff. Lots of lovely food, yummy scones and amazing cake, a pass the parcel and a toast. Thanks for having us Kate and Chris, really enjoyed it.

Went over to Mum and Dad's for a roast dinner later on. D wanted to play out in the garden as it has been the first sunny day this year (?). We had to retrieve the playhouse from the corner of the garden, upended from the storm last week. They wanted to clean it and so spent a good half hour with a tub of hot water, scrubbing brush, sponge and a little step 'cleaning' :-) I'd like to say i noticed an improvement but most of the water ended up on the pair of them.

Half term this week. Must think of some stuff to do! Hope the sun continues to shine....
