Pick-up sticks

These are sarments, or vine trimmings. Not many people nowadays have the patience to trim and tie them so neatly, but they do make excellent kindling or barbecue fuel.

It was a beautiful sunny day and I photographed lots of blossom and pretty flowers, but as soon as I saw this I knew it was my blip. It's very satisfying somehow. I've never blipped this particular aspect of vines before. And it's time I posted another mono blip. The flowers will have to wait!
