Hailey's Harp

Here is a photo of a favorite spot in town, Hailey’s Harp and Pub. Judging but how crowded it gets, I would say we need more than one pub in town. This one is right in the heart of downtown on Main Street and it is a cozy place with the right mix of food, music, and local people. With bits of Irish culture including a great selection of beer and things like homemade corned beef hash and braised lamb chops on the menu it has become very popular.
We have plenty of bars but bars and pubs are not the same. Pubs offer a great sense of community and make you feel relaxed enough to stay a while. They are geared for social interaction. Bars are usually loud with loud music, which makes talking with anyone difficult. They are geared more for getting you hammered with a limited menu. In addition, bars tend to make you feel as if you have to make an effort as far as your dress code goes. Pubs are more casual and there is no dress code.
I prefer a pub. Just my opinion. Maybe I’m getting old.
