It sure did! I wouldn't have enjoyed being Sir Patrick Spens this afternoon, though the Rothesay ferry, sailing serenely across the horizon, seemed quite unperturbed by the wind and waves this afternoon.

We missed out on the window of relatively pleasant weather this morning - I hung out some washing, but I had things preying on my mind that I wanted to do before anything else and by the time I was ready the weather had reverted to normal. The tide was at its height, we were whipped by spray as well as rain on our faces, and we were glad when it was over - but I wouldn't have stayed in for anything.
