Behind the Hedge

9.3C with a bright morning and a cloudier afternoon. Windy.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch. We had hoped the bright blue sky would have lasted a bit longer but clouds had appeared.

As we walked down the field with the bridle path I noticed that the row of trees along the road we had just come along was in bright light. We crossed into the next field where the new cereal crop is nice and green and took some pictures. The trees are behind the beech and hawthorn hedge.

Down at the beach the tide was about halfway in. Plenty of firm wet sand to walk along and lots of rocks to be seen. No other dog walkers on the beach today. Out at the seaward edge of the rocks I noticed a fisherman was casting into the waves. I expect he would have to retreat every few minutes as the tide advanced across the rocks.

Note: Today is Apothecary7's birthday.
