Pier

Another freezing cold day--we reached a whole 8 degrees-- though it felt much colder than that as we've had no sunshine today! Quick stop on the way home from work to pick up a few groceries so that if we get the predicted snow tomorrow I won't have to go out, then another quick stop for a picture at the park. I liked the rusted, rounded shapes of the pilings sticking up through the pier--a few of the smaller boats tether to the iron rings on top of the pilings in the summer. I always think people have to be awfully brave to dock the boats there, because so many pigeons & seagulls are flying around over the area that in the space of a few hours, the boats look like someone speckle painted them! Maybe it doesn't bother them, but I for one would not want to be sitting in bird poo while riding around on the lake!! Happy Friday! :)
