Snowdrop carpet

Went for a walk down to Sonning today to get a bit of fresh air. The path along the river is still too flooded to risk so we walked down the road and then through the churchyard. There was a beautiful carpet of snowdrops amongst the gravestones with some areas of crocuses too. A beautiful sight in the sunshine.

The river was still very high, though not as bad as my last trip in the middle of January. The bridge is officially closed but there were still some mad drivers risking the damaged road and floods. Some of them were going through at silly speeds considering the houses and farms nearby.

Nice to be out in the sun and to see the first signs of spring.
