On Top Of The World

That Good Mate of mine had stayed over after last night's meal so we were up early and ready to go off somewhere with the cameras.

"Let's go up into the mountains", he said and at the time we were heading east so naturally we ended up on the Pennines. There is only a slight dusting of snow right up on the top. From Hartside we had a good view over to the Lake District's white peaks.

We went right over the top of the Pennines and down to Garrigill, towards Nenthead. We had stopped at the Spar shop in Alston to get hot sausage butties, so we stopped here to eat them and brew some tea.
