A dusting of snow

Lovely day to be out with mum, we headed inland just for a change. The mountains looked magnificent with their light dusting of snow against the blue sky. A few farmers were having a burn-off creating a little haze over Mount Oxford on the right, while the Torlesse Range was crystal clear on the left.

The road is the Rangiora - Oxford Road part of the Inland Scenic Route 72 in North Canterbury.

After being out for most of the day, its now time to organise tea - Salmon Mignon with salad, nice and light with a glass of local Torlesse Sauvignon Blanc.

Happy Thursday blippers :)

I think this is a bit far away but shows the day, didn't want to crop the blue sky and it wasn't the same with the foreground cropped either, it will do but I'm not completely happy with it but it is very New Zealand.

Here's another I nearly blipped - a closer view of Mount Oxford
