Shield Your Eyes

Beautifully sunny in Essex this morning. I went bug-togging on the south-facing wall. I had my kneeling pads on and dropped to the ground to capture a jumping spider. Maybe it was because I'd disturbed the ivy but suddenly four dock shield bugs appeared and started to climb the wall. They reached the top of the wall and then started to climb the glass. Don't know why. They're quite common and in season I might ignore them but it was lovely to see some bug action today.

I walked around Seventy Acres Lake this afternoon and lost track of time. When I went to leave I discovered that I was locked in. Luckily Mr Q wasn't gigging and came to pick me up. Hope the S is going to be OK there overnight.
