The Three Sisters & The little Heardsman of Etive

I have driven up to Fort William with my Mum and Dad for a weeks holiday. We stopped off at the Llama Karma Kafe near Penrith for a wonderful cooked breakfast in very bright surroundings, complete with live Llamas.

We carried on up to to Scotland (the roads were so quite all the way I've never driven so far with so little traffic it was brilliant), stopping near the Black Mount for drinkings and a photo stop (at least I got out of the car unlike most other people who stopped for photos) before we got to Glencoe.

We called to look at the Blackrock Cottage, but it was tricky to photograph it as there were so many parked cars at the property. We then moved on into Glencoe and stopped in some of the laybys. It was extremely windy at this point and the car was being buffeted and I was nearly blown over at one point by a gust of wind.

I homage to Colin Prior whose talk I attended last weekend at the Photography Show, here is a panoramic view of The Three Sisters of Glencoe, Beinn Fhada, Gearr Aonach, and Aonach Dubh, together with Buachaille Etive Beag (The little heardsman of Etive) on the far left.

The weather wasn't great, but the brooding skies are pretty interesting, together with the small amount of snow.

The cottage we are staying in is great with a wonderful view of Loch Linnhe from the lounge window.
