Japonoiserie

I discovered by accident the other day this Japanese-looking photo effect. We have an ornamental Prunus in the corner of our garden which has reverted to its wild rootstock, which is very similar to the Marabella plums that grow in my home village. (I was very surprised to find that Mayland is mentioned on the Mirabelle Wiki page.) As the traffic negotiates the roundabout at the end of our lane in the evening I can capture the head and tail lights as bokeh with a bloom in focus.

Plum/cherry blossom is revered in Japan, bokeh is a Japanese word and the tail lights reminiscent of the Japanese "circle of the sun" flag.
