Daff in the Park

It would have been a dreadful shame not to get out and about today. Such a lovely day: bright sunshine all the time, and even a touch on the warm side — definitely a feeling of Spring in the air.

It was 4:00 pm by the time I headed for a photo session in Fairview Park, where I've been noticing daffodil and crocuses showing off as I passed by. It was about time I stopped and had a look.

It wasn't easy choosing just one shot as today's blip, but a toss-up finally gave the nod to this one. I only spotted the little insect after uploading from the camera. Having him on that petal is a nice little bonus. Other shots from this afternoon can be seen in a Flickr set.
