A view from Jeanneb

In the Golden Acre.

A very heavy frost this morning but another glorious blue sky.

We had said we would go to Golden Acre Park nr Bramhope in Leeds this week so this seemed like a good day. I have only been once before in late summer and Chris hasn't been before. It there was very little colour today. As we got nearer the cloud came down and the blue skies disappeared!

We had a coffee and then walked around the lake. The daffodils were just coming out and were colourful in one or two places but there was plenty of bird and other wildlife to see. I don't think I've ever seen so many grey squirrels in one place, scampering all over. In the small temperate house (which ironically was supposed to illustrate the future of gardens in Yorkshire in drought conditions brought by global warming) there was a small collection of amorous frogs (see Large) so enough subjects for blip.

The sun broke through a couple of times but when we drove back to Bingley the skies were as blue as when we set off and it is warmer in the sun than out.

Well we know the sun shines on the righteous!
