The Changing Skyscape

Another gorgeous day in Edinburgh. Sunny with bright blue sky. Morning of domestic things followed by invitation from a friend to lunch at Michael Neave’s Kitchen as a belated gift for J’s birthday. Pre-lunch drink then on to a lovely meal. A wander in the Old Town in the sunshine. Nice to see Quartermile which was the old Edinburgh Royal Infirmary – see the old buildings in the foreground. It is being turned into flats and new ones are being built. During the recession there was little sign of progress but it’s back in business, which is good because it is an iconic city centre site. This shot is taken from the Meadows, a large area for public use and great for walking across into the city centre. Edinburgh’s skyscape is changing. Son#1 coming with wife and son for dinner
