An ordinary life....

A little light lunch...

A long established family butcher in the town (and who we buy our meat from) has retired and his business has been taken over by a new butcher. The grand opening was Thursday so David popped in this morning to show support and buy something nice for dinner tomorrow as well pick up something tasty for lunch.

I visualised some lovely continental meat from his deli counter to have with a fresh green salad. As you can see, David visualised a steak bridie something different entirely.

And now for something completely different...

Here’s a question I’m not really expecting an answer to but will pose it anyway…..why when we have all the time in the world to get ready for a night out, do we always end up running late? Always!

Off to visit friends just south of Edinburgh and I was really looking forward to it as we were staying over. There were 8 of us all together. Marion arrived at 6pm to stay with Alan and David and I set off in separate cars as he’s staying on tomorrow to play golf with the boys at Dunbar and I will head home to give Alan lunch. The sooner he’s eating for Marion and Ed the better!

Had a great night full of laughter and the most excellent meal including homemade baked New York cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding.

Can’t actually remember what time we got to bed!
