Marjorie's ramblings

An expotition

One day Christopher Robin, WalkingMarj, invited his friend, Winnie the Pooh on an expedition, her friend, Dennis from Wall to do a pre-walk.

I wanted to test out the long Brocolitia route for the walking festival. The forecast was that the fog would be burned off by 0900 and then there would be sun. Humph! The fog did not burn off, so there was no sun, and the visibility was poor. There were high winds that worsened all day. It was hard to stand up at times.

Apart from being " temporarily misplaced" west of Great Lonbrough, we tramped around the wild lands north of Hadrian's Wall and occasionally wished we could see the views. For those interested Brocolitia - Sewingshields Farm - Folly Lake and Halley Pike Lough - Stell Green - Standing Stone Ridge - Great Lonbrough - Goatstones - Simonburn (tea and cake in the excellent tearoom) - Teckets - Brocolitia. Hope you are impressed. I reckon we walked 13.5 miles.

Sighs with satisfaction.

Here are some trees in the fog. The moss is intensely green. I've processed this in mono and had a hard job choosing which to blip.
