Hill Top Ramblings

The grand finale

The orange blossom walk. We have been waiting patiently all week to do our favourite walk through the orange groves and down to the river, because when we arrived there was no sign of the orange blossom opening. Our last chance today, and a lovely warm morning. We saw Caspian terns, spoonbills, oranges, savage dogs, the inevitable Naked Man Orchid, and just a little orange blossom wafting in the warm breeze. Not quite as much as I had hoped for, but enough to seal a lovely week.
The thought of returning to Cumbria with its grey sky's and 8C is not wonderful.
However it will be good to see our daughter who has been house sitting, and the dogs, and to try and sow our new wildflower meadow will be a positive step for the spring.
