The Trip South

We're nicely settled in Queenstown, our house is huge as it needs to be with 10 people. We've just finished a fantastic roast dinner.....large leg of hogget, potatoes, carrots, broccoli and cheese sauce, zucchini and gravy. Then followed by gooseberry crumble for desert. We do look after ourselves. Swished down with some very nice Pinot Gris.

What a horrendous trip we had down....... Cyclone Lusi sure did lash South Canterbury this morning, unbelievable stuff and rather frightening, but as we drove inland the weather improved, thankfully.

This picture is at the top of Lindis Pass where we stopped for lunch.

I'm tethering my iPad to my mobile to load my blip, so there will be no viewing or commenting, sorry.
Tomorrow we catch the Earnslaw across the Lake to Walter Peak Station to bike to Mt Nicholas Station and back. Will report in tomorrow night hopefully.
