THREE WISE.....

.....men!

After collecting the "stuff" from our son's house yesterday and because it was all in the boot of the car, we decided to take it to a charity shop this morning and then Mr. HCB invited me for coffee at The Old Bank - one of our favourite Old Town venues.

It is more like a big, happy family in there, and it is good to meet both old and new friends - the staff know us so well that they don't even need to ask what we want, but the waitress just turns up at the table with our "usual".

As we are attending a funeral this afternoon, I guessed blipping might be difficult, so when our friend, Dave, on the right came over to join us, I took the opportunity to get a photograph of him, Mr. HCB in the middle and another friend, Trevor, blipped last year on 25th January. I can't say they were "willing" to have their photograph taken, but after a little coercion they were reasonably happy to oblige - they did try to hide behind the newspapers, but eventually lowered them so I could see their faces!

Dave is recovering from a very serious road accident in which he was involved on New Year's Eve just over a year ago - he has made tremendous progress and it was great to see him looking so well. He has been told his vocal cords are working properly, so he is singing and playing his guitar again and we are now praying that his sense of smell returns very soon - as he explained, "It's not much fun eating when you can't smell the food!"

We all share the same faith - and we believe in prayer - so we will keep praying for the miracle that Dave needs.

"When you understand that life is a test,
you realise that nothing is insignificant."
