The Naked Grapes

The harvest has started on Meadowbank Station. The nets have come off the Pinot Gris grapevines alongside the Taylor River tracks. I could see the big harvester working its way along the rows of vines in the distance…. too far away for me to photograph the huge machinery. The grapes are looking wonderful. It is just as well there was a fence between me and the grapes.
By the time I walk past this area in the morning the grapes will be well gone… On their way to becoming “Spy Valley Pinot Gris 2014”. So you wine lovers out there, do look out for this label in the future.
