Morning Sparkle

I don't often Blip early in the day but I'm predicting a very lazy day without much activity so I can catch up on yesterday's birthday celebrations.
Miss E had a fantastic birthday. She came in at a very respectable 7am and whispered in the most excited voice "it's my birthday!!!!"
Miss L was very excited and insisted that we go and open presents as fast as possible. Miss E - a grown up six year old - said that we had to eat breakfast first.
But we wouldn't have seconds!!
Breakfast was spent watching Let it Go from Frozen on YouTube. A very special treat!! Miss E can sing it word perfectly from beginning to end.
As can I!!!
She loved all her presents - from us, her school friends and Auntie T. She got some lovely things.
One of her favourites was a badminton set. She had a fun half hour outside with Mr K showing her prowess. She was so happy and excited. The bargain present of the year - from the Pound Shop!!
We headed off at lunch time for party number two. We met Mr L, Mr R, Mr C, Miss A, Mr H, Miss M, Mr H and all their Mummies at Pizza Hut in Milton Keynes.
A few weeks ago I told Miss E she could do whatever she liked for her birthday and very sweetly she asked if she could have pizza with her "other friends". She's been so excited about it.
The children all sat together on one table and felt very grown up ordering their food and drink.
And then loaded up on ice cream with a million toppings!
It was really lovely to see everyone. Miss E had such a brilliant time!
From there we went to Halfords to pick up her bike. She didn't know anything about it and we told her we had to pick up some oil! She was complaining that she didn't want to come into the shop, that it was boring and she trudged around the shop moaning.
The look on her face when she saw her new bike was wonderful. She loves it! It's powder blue and very old fashioned. Gorgeous!
And she bought herself a pink scooter with her birthday money too. And Miss L bought one with her marble money.
They are now fully sorted in the wheel department!
While I cooked a roast dinner Mr K, Nana and Papa took the Little Misses out to try out the new wheels. Miss E did really well apparently - there are no stabilisers on the new bike so I was nervous that she'd fall off, hurt herself and hate the stupid new bike! She started off very wobbly but by time it was time to come in she was getting the hang of it.
And Miss L Knieval apparently did brilliantly on her scooter!!!
Yummy roast lamb, chocolate cake and a session on the fantastic karaoke machine Nana and Papa gave Miss E finished the day off nicely.
It was such a special weekend. Miss E has been so happy.
And, of course, that makes me happy!
I still can't believe she's six!
