Nettles

We had parents evening tonight at school which was fantastic!
We managed to get there early for once - my dad had thought I said we needed to leave at 5pm so rushed over from work to get here in time. We actually needed to leave at 6pm!! So we had the chance to go up to Miss E's classroom and look through her books. It's such an eye-opener to see what they actually do all day! Her teacher was in the room and she said that we as well have a chat there rather than go down to the hall as we were her first appointment.
Miss E is keen, bright, eager, enthusiastic, a genius doing very well at maths, creative, imaginative, engaged, friendly and happy.
What a star!
From there we went to see Miss L's teacher. She is clearly very fond of Miss L which makes us happy!
Miss L is doing really well. Her reading and writing are coming on brilliantly and she's "scarily good" at maths!
They get it from me you know!!!!
We were chatting about how she loves to make little books and fill them with her brilliant stories. Mrs S showed us Miss L's very own little tub on the craft table with her very own scissors and sellotape. Apparently she gets through a lot of sellotape! I love that they know her well enough to know that she loves doing it and that they provide her with her very own equipment to do it. Such a great start she's having.
Making the most of a night's babysitting we carried on to the cinema to watch The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.  It was really good. And the Subways I took in with me was very tasty. As were the peanut M&Ms and the popcorn!! I seem to have developed an eating disorder which means  I have to eat everything in sight!!!
