Wild Garlic

This lunchtime was blessed with a visit to the supermarket. Not much to see on the way there, so I took a slight diversion back to the office.

This took me to Ravelston to a footpath high above the cycle path. At this point in the year, after the snowdrops, other white flowers start to appear. However, the smell hits you first. The flowers higher up appear first as they have the best accessibility to sunlight. Eventually the whole slope will be covered with these delicate flowers.

First thing in the morning, and in the late afternoon, the pungent smell of wild garlic hits you long before you see the wall of green and white.

Mmm. A quick photo and I'm back to the office. Smell you later when I'm going home.
