Old London

Experimenting with manual focus, shooting from the hip and checking the results afterwards... this shot stood out as looking quite different to the rest. It's dark, blurry and by most standards a technically rubbish shot. But it seemed to capture a vague London-ish mood to me. Without any distinguishing modern features, it seemed to me that it could have been taken any time in the last 50 or 60 years.

(oh I'm probably being overly influenced by some recent reading on the photography of Robert Frank, William Klein and others, and the idea that "it doesn't have to be in focus"...)
