Thoughtless Granny

No prizes for guessing who she is staring at. Fionne dared to go in her bed, even though she didn't want to go in it herself. She's so cantankerous.....like a petulant tired child.

Speaking of which, I thought it would be nice to take my youngest Grandson out to lunch today to Millets Farm, as the oldest one is on holiday in Portugal. I did wonder if I was doing the right thing, with the ongoing problem with the smog pollution and African dust. He was extremely well behaved during lunch but it went downhill from the moment we stepped out of the restaurant.

He screamed when I offered to take him to the swings. He screamed when I took him to see the animals. He screamed when I put him back in his pushchair. It began to get a bit embarrassing, as people started staring. It crossed my mind that they may have thought he was being kidnapped by a stranger as I made a quick exit to the car, in the vain hope that once inside, he wouldn't be heard.

We headed home and within an instant, he was fast asleep. He must have been totally exhausted....poor lamb. I felt dreadful that he was that tired and I didn't know!

Children don't come with a manual.....more's the pity. How much easier would life be?
