WHAT ARE WELLIES FOR?

Wellington Boot : A rubber or water-repellent leather boot extending to the knee or somewhat below it. Origin : early 19th century: named after the 1st Duke of Wellington.

You are probably getting fed up with hearing me say it is another grey, cold and rainy day -well, I am getting a bit fed up with this weather but I'm not really complaining - we do need rain - only not quite this much and a little sunshine would be more than welcome!

I had to go up into the town and saw this little girl having great fun jumping in a puddle - then her friends came out and joined her. Not long though before Mum came out of the shop and shouted "Get out of that puddle!"

So the question of the day is "What are wellies for - if not to jump in puddles?" I don't suppose the Duke would have worn wellies quite like this though!

Go jump in a puddle and splash a friend.
You're all complaining about the rain.
You can't change it
so you might as well have fun with it.
