Green Pond, Halswell Quarry

I took the 'scenic' route home from town today, heading round the back of Cashmere and past the old Halswell Quarry, which is now a park and very popular with dog walkers and mountain bikers.

I've not been to the park for years, so it was nice to see how things have grown over the years. The wind was picking up though as I was shooting, the cabbage trees and flax rustling in the strong breeze.

Thanks to all who donated comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's shot of my girl Zoey coming out of the darkness. It was great to see her on the front page of the Spotlight for so long. She's taken the fame in her stride...
