Disconcerting

Great sunlight shining through the blinds today. Took some pictures using the shiny apple logo on the back of the phone as a viewfinder before I remembered that the iPad has a front-facing camera. Much easier. Although the higher definition isn't necessarily a kindness. On which subject, who is that old man? Who, in unlovable contrast to my charming, lopsided smile, has an off-centre smirk on the wrong side of his smug, wizened face. And he needs a shave.

A quieter day after yesterday's freneticism and I managed to get out on to the Pixie Trail which we are trying to rebrand as the "Tough Trail". The new name isn't catching on. In fact, most people refer to it as the "Trim Trail" which carries a lot of "for their age"-shaped baggage. As in "Nick and Andy were out on the Trim Trail again. They are very sprightly. For their age." It is tougher going round the Pixie Trim Trail with Andy because he points out comical aspects of my "technique" which makes me self-conscious. Apparently, I have a very peculiar way of twitching my foot whilst trying to do the last few pull-ups. But it is worse going round with, lets call him John. He makes puffing noises which he once compared to the sounds he makes whilst engaging in... err... intimacy with Mrs John*. And once that thought is in your head...

*Not her real name. That would be weird...
