My topsy-turvy life

Stand together

Everton 2 Palace 3
Well that was a bit of a disappointment! It seemed tonight as though the players had turned up simply expecting to beat Palace but then couldn't get out of second gear when they needed too. Like right from the start.
I'm not sure whether it was Everton who were bad or Palace who were good. A fair bit of both probably although Palace did play very well in a very Tony Pulis way, getting stuck in and defending solidly. Shame the same couldn't be said for the blues' defence tonight as we were caught on the break time after time. If you concede 3 goals at home against anyone you'll find it tough.
Surely it has to be better than that against United on Sunday...

Before the game there was a Hillsborough tribute with kids lining the Bullens Road end linked together with blue and red scarves during a minutes applause.
Personally I'd prefer a silence in memory of the victims but applause seems to be the preferred method of remembrance these days.
