BOUI for today:-

1) The language of flowers was introduced to England in the early 18th century by Mary Wortley, Lady Montague, whose husband was Ambassador to Turkey.

2) The proverb "March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers", first recorded in 1886, or the shorter version "April showers bring May flowers" (originally "Sweet April showers/Do spring May flowers", part of a poem recorded in 1610 are common expressions in English speaking countries.

3) In April’s sweet month,
When the leaves ‘gin' to spring, (begin)
Little lambs skip like fairies
And birds build and sing.

4) (regarding thunder):-

When April blows his horn, It's good for hay and corn.

Sun and cloud this morning - chilly wind - Temperature at 49 Deg.F.

Have a lovely Easter and don't eat too much chocolate!!
