A walk at Paxton Pits nature reserve. Spot the Conservation Biologist.

It was supposed to be Wicken Fen, until we found the traffic.

At one point on the walk we listened to nightingales. First time I've known I've listened to them, it helps having a handy biologist. Took a photo of what everyone else seemed to be aiming lenses at. I've now a couple of pictures of a very bird-looking-like leaf...

We compressed the Easter weekend into today because S has to return to uni tomorrow as term starts on Tuesday and travelling 400 miles any other day this weekend is liable to be a disaster.

So we started with hot cross buns for breakfast, went out for a walk this morning, lunched with simnel cake and hunted chocolate eggs this afternoon, and finished with a traditional veggie crumble. OK so that may not be everyone's tradition; maybe it's one we've just invented...

The egg hunt was extended today as we The Easter Bunny hid the usual ones in the garden for the 'children' to find, the boys Other Easter Bunnies hid some in the house for the parents to find.

There were a dozen in the garden.

There were 51 (mostly mini eggs) in the house! It took a while...

Finally found the last, the one under the sink plug, when going to bed.
