Full Steam Ahead!

After an action packed weekend at Silverstone for the World Endurance Championship I took my friend (another Dave) to the Great Central Railway for the day before he headed back to Wales. Our first ride was on an old Diesel Multiple Unit, and it brought back memories of when I was a small boy going to Leeds on the train with my Mum. The back of the driving cab was glass so you could see the driver driving the train and also what was coming towards you.

In this case I could see a steam train coming towards us and we timed it well to grab this shot of it emerging from the road bridge sending billowing clouds of steam, an almost timeless picture (shame that the road bridge is a bit too modern)
