ANZAC - A Day of Remembrance

Young and old gathered to commemorate those who served in Military operations for their countries. Dawn parades, services and wreath laying are held in every town and city, no matter how big or small as today is ANZAC day - Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.

Our parade was led by the local pipe band followed by three flag bearers - senior head students from Rangiora High School, dignitaries, war veterans and service and youth groups. In honour to those who served a flypast was led by a Mustang followed by two Chipmunks and a Pitt Special.

A red poppy is a symbol of this day of remembrance.
