'Their Name Liveth Forever'

.....are the words written on the Rangiora Cenotaph enclosed in a wreath.

Today is ANZAC Day - Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. A day to commemorate all those who died and served in Miltary operations for their countries. A red poppy is a symbol of this day of remembrance.

Our local parade and service was held under a vibrant blue sky with a scorching hot sun, 27C. The parade was led by our local pipe band followed by three flag bearers - senior head students from Rangiora High School, dignitaries, war veterans and service and youth groups. Young and old were at the service, a service of remembrance.

While I did take shots of the parade its the cenotaph captured this evening as the sun was going down on this day of remembrance.
