Belford bells

I've had a lovely day.

It started with meeting pals on the Meadows to join the Pedal on Parliament 2014. Mr hazelh and I were riding our tandem. For once we were not the only ones cycling à deux and enjoyed chatting to other tandem pairs.

Afterwards we came back to our house with our friends Katharine and Jack for lunch. They helped us eat up some of the leftovers from nadinepierce's birthday cheese cake. Then we set off for an afternoon of fun which included a walk along the Water of Leith to the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art to see the the Fergusson exhibition. I blipped the pink and bluebells on the way to the gallery.

Our next port of call was Whistlebinkies pub on the bridges for an apéritif and some "interesting" people watching that involved observing a group of lads stalking a hen party with clothes pegs. We stopped off for a curry at Zest on our way home.

Exercise today: cycling to the Meadows and back on the tandem, and around 6 miles of walking.
