Where has all the altruism gone?!

Apparently there is a local and European election going to take place in the coming weeks.
And yet no signs of activity, no promises of sacrifice of the self for the greater good of the community, no guaranteed solutions to all the country's ills, no heroes in the making canvassing their awestruck communities.

No political posters!!

Well, one political poster. I had to search high and low for it as I crossed the city this morning.

Is there no one left who has the moral fibre and necessary skills and knowledge and integrity to devote their life to their community?

Are there no politicians left?

Where has all the altruism gone?
