May Day

I didn't want to pic stitch this, but that's the only way you could get a nice visual representation of my day.

Lol @ today.

Take the title to mean both the first day of May and a call for help.

On May first, high school seniors wear apparel to show the college that they are attending next year. The Breakfast Club (top left) enjoyed a nice bagel breakfast before school in Cahill's.

School for a bit, and then a twist.

Someone scrawled that threatening message on the wall of one of the boy's bathrooms. It reads "Blowing the skool up today. No joke. I've had it." We were told to remain in our third period (9:45ish) classes even after the bell rang, so Gabs and I just stayed in Calosso's office where we were preparing for the AP Italian test. Then, an announcement was made telling the students and teachers to evacuate over the footbridge to Forest Lake. We hopped in with Mrs. Aymong's class and shuffled over with the entire school. The middle school had to take refuge in St. Frances. As scary as it was, the walk over to Forest Lake was rather enjoyable. The weather wasn't terrible and I got to spend some time outside.

Once at Forest Lake (10:15), we we're split up into whatever rooms were open. I ended up in the gym with a few hundred others. People were scattered in the cafeteria, the library, and other places. We sat on the gym floor for about an hour before they began to tell people that their parents or emergency contacts could come to the lobby of Forest Lake and pick them up. This began a long chain of teachers walking between the gym and the lobby to escort kids one by one. I ended up leaving around 12:10, and I went home for just a bit.

My mom drove me, Chris, and Jimjam to the school so I could get the car and we could get lunch. We picked up Rocco, John, and Max before going to Green Cactus. Back to the school to relax before practice. 10 400s at 70 with 90 rest and then 2 300s. Not too bad at all.

I'm not sure why, but Carvel was giving out free ice cream today! The last picture is the crew who traveled to Carvel to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. I drove Max, Jimjam, Roc, and Michael home before going to home to shower.

Soon after, I picked up Max and Jimjam and drove to Unique Foot Spa. Last night, Jimjam decided he wanted a foot massage, so we said we'd go with him. It was amazing. My feet and calves feel incredible and I'm excited to go back soon.

Max was whisked away after the massage, but Jimjam and I picked up Rocco to go to a different Carvel for more ice cream. After dropping them off at home I had some dinner and played a game of League with George.

Now, it's time to end this most interesting day. Goodnight, all.
