Drummond Castle Gardens

As it didn't rain we had an outing to the Drummond Castle Gardens near Crieff, apparently described by Historic Scotland as "the best example of formal terraced gardens in Scotland." They only opened yesterday for this year and there's nothing in bloom in the gardens but the formal lay-out and the contrast between the spring greens and reds is quite beautiful. I do hope I'll be able to visit it when all the flowers are out, can't understand why I never went there when we lived in Perthshire !

Thanks very much for your comments and stars on the wet Fair Maid of Perth, it's a novel of chivalry, bad knights and the hero wins the heart of the fair maiden in the end.
